Camilo Tamayo, member of the academic team of the EV, selected to the Honorable Mention of the President Nestor Kirchner Fellowship for 2011-2012
The Virtual School is proud to announce that Camilo Tamayo, author and professor, has been selected to the Honorable Mention of the President Nestor Kirchner Fellowship. Camilo Tamayo is Expert Associate of the Regional Centre for Latin America and the Caribbean of the United Nations Development Programme and has supported the Virtual School as an academic member in various activities, especially in the area of Media and Democracy: Author and teacher of the Course in Democracy and Media in the Southern Cone on 2010 and supported the development of the Course in Media and Democracy in Central America.
Congratulations to Camilo and good luck in this new challenge!

Online course on “Essentials on Anti-Corruption and Human Development”
It is a pleasure for the UNDP Virtual School to inform you about the new 10-week online course on “Essentials on Anti-Corruption and Human Development” that will be launched in September of 2011. This course is the first UNDP training initiative that provides analytical and practical tools on anticorruption from a human development perspective and promotes a comparative analysis of corruption practices around the globe.
Celebrating the Fifth Anniversary of the Virtual School
On the past July 8th the Virtual School held their fifth anniversary since its launch in Cartagena, Colombia on 2006. Side events were carried in Bogota and Panama, and had the assistance of guests from the Office of UNDP Colombia and the Regional Centre of Panama.
Virtual training in "Local Governance and Public Management focused on Human Development in the health sector " Guatemala
In the early days of July, two virtual courses on "Local Governance and Public Management focused on human development in the health sector" were initiated. These courses corresponded to the third and fourth editions of the Virtual Training Program under the Project in Management and Governance, which is supported by UNDP Guatemala in partnership with the UNDP Virtual School as part of the strategy to strengthen the public health sector, implemented by the Ministry of Public Health and Welfare (MSPAS).
